About Me Comments

Marilyn Smith used to be a newspaper reporter, where she quickly learned to keep her opinions to herself. Now she spends her days at Albany City Hall, where people often ask her bizarre questions and make her try to guess how she can help them. She does her best.

She and her husband, Stan, retired DH photographer, live in a mountain cabin on the canal in south Albany with a dog who is fluent in English, a frightening cat, and elderly parents within walking distance. She collects fountain pens, reads lots of books printed on paper between stiff covers, exercises daily, and uses her defunct microwave oven to store trail mix and chips.
