I filled up the Insight on Friday for $2.37 a gallon. This is the first fill-up that cost me more than $20. OK, OK, yes, I’m bragging but a year ago, I routinely paid more than $70 to fill up the Ridgeline and $50 to feed Great White (the not-lamented Buick — which I saw a 30-something driving toward Lehigh on Saturday. Sparklingly clean. Gone to a good home.)
Four-dollar-a-gallon gas didn’t make carpoolers of many of us here in the mid-valley, so I don’t expect it to happen now either. But just in case you take on passengers, here are some suggestions for how to be good citizens and have some fun on the commute (or you can just listen to your iPod.) The following applies to passengers only, please!
